Artificial Intelligence 2018: Build the Most Powerful AI

Two months ago we discovered that a very new kind of AI was invented. The kind of AI which is based on a genius idea and that you can build from scratch and without the need for any framework. We checked that out, we built it, and... the results are absolutely insane! This game-changing AI called Augmented Random Search, ARS for short. And in a very simple implementation, it is able to do an exact same thing that Google Deep Mind did in their accomplishment last year - which is to train an AI to walk and run across a field.

Scotland's Nicola Sturgeon named one of the most powerful women in the world

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been named one of the world's most powerful women on Forbes' annual list. SEE ALSO: Scotland's independence party fails to win a majority in key elections The leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP) was ranked the 50th most powerful woman in the world, with British-born American Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who came in at number 28 on the list, followed closely by the Queen, who was rated the 29th most powerful female. This was Sturgeon's first time on annual list of top political figures, entrepreneurs, journalists and celebrities, published by the business magazine. German chancellor Angela Merkel was named the most powerful woman in the world for the sixth year in a row, and Hillary Clinton was ranked second. Sheryl Sandberg also made the top ten, coming in at number seven, while Michelle Obama was named 13th most powerful woman.

Using substructures for provably expressive graph neural networks

The figure below shows an example most of us are familiar with, the molecule of caffeine, whose level in my bloodstream is alarmingly low. TL;DR: In this post, I discuss how to design local and computationally efficient provably powerful graph neural networks that are not based on the Weisfeiler-Lehman tests hierarchy. This is the second in the series of posts on the expressivity of graph neural networks. In Part 3, I will argue why we should abandon the graph isomorphism problem altogether._ Recent groundbreaking papers [1–2] established the connection between graph neural networks and the graph isomorphism tests, observing the analogy between the message passing mechanism and the Weisfeiler-Lehman (WL) test [3].

The World's Most Powerful People 2016

Forbes - Tech

There are nearly 7.4 billion humans on planet Earth, but these 74 men and women make the world turn. Forbes' annual ranking of the World's Most Powerful People identifies one person out of every 100 million whose actions mean the most. To compile the list, we considered hundreds of candidates from various walks of life all around the globe, and measured their power along four dimensions. First, we asked whether the candidate has power over lots of people. Pope Francis, ranked #5, is the spiritual leader of more than a billion Catholics.
