The AWS DBS EMR organization is doing innovative work on these open source data processing frameworks with the goal of making EMR the best place to run big data workloads.

Manager, Machine Learning Solutions Lab


Machine learning (ML) has been strategic to Amazon from the early years. We are pioneers in areas such as recommendation engines, product search, eCommerce fraud detection, and large-scale optimization of fulfillment center operations. The Amazon ML Solutions Lab team helps AWS customers accelerate the use of machine learning to solve business and operational challenges and promote innovation in their organization. As a science manager for the ML Solutions Lab team, you will lead a team of customer-facing scientists and architects to design and deliver advanced ML solutions to solve diverse real-world problems for customers across all industries. You will interact with customers, translate their business problems into ML problems, and lead your team in applying classical ML algorithms and cutting-edge deep learning (DL) and reinforcement learning approaches to areas such as drug discovery, customer segmentation, fraud prevention, capacity planning, predictive maintenance, pricing optimization, call center analytics, player pose estimation, event detection, and virtual assistant among others.

Data Scientist II- Payment Products/


DESCRIPTION The Amazon Payments Team manages all Amazon branded payment offerings, globally. These offerings are growing rapidly and we are continuously adding new market-leading features and launching new products. Our payments products (Amazon Co-Branded Credit Cards, Private Labeled Credit Cards, Non-Amazon Branded Credit Cards, Shop with Points and Foreign Exchange) provide the most innovative payment experience on and off Amazon. We manage a financial services ad serving platform (billions of impressions per year) through Amazons purchase path where we offer Amazon branded and non-branded payment products and services. Our team of high caliber software developers, statisticians, analysts and product managers use rigorous quantitative approaches to ensure that we target the right product to the right customer at the right moment, managing tradeoffs between click through rate, approval rates and lifetime value.

Sr. Applied Scientist - Computer Vision


Amazon Web Services are looking for a passionate and talented Applied Scientist who will collaborate with other scientists and engineers to develop computer vision and machine learning methods and algorithms to address real-world customer use-cases. You'll design and run experiments, research and develop new algorithms, and put your algorithms and models into practice to help solve our customers' most challenging problems. This role resides in AWS Professional Services, a unique consulting team where we pride ourselves on being customer obsessed and highly focused on the AI enablement of our customers.
