Dell EMC launched all-Flash midrange storage systems along with a future proofing program. The enterprise hardware vendor added two arrays--the Dell EMC SC5020F and SC7020F--as 3U appliances as well as software updates to Dell EMC Unity. As for the Future-Proof Storage Loyalty Program, Dell EMC is offering a three-year satisfaction guarantee, software updates, data migrations and storage efficiency guarantees. Dell EMC is also adding free Virtustream Storage Cloud services. The SC All-Flash systems will be available in December and the Unity OS v4.3 available in January.
DUNSTABLE, United Kingdom--(BUSINESS WIRE)--AccelStor, an innovative all-flash array (AFA) provider for the big data era, is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming Cloud Expo Europe, taking place from March 21 to 22 at Booth C1850 in the ExCel London exhibition centre. Besides presenting latest all-flash storage solutions breaking through performance and availability barriers for artificial intelligence (AI), virtualization and private cloud, AccelStor will present a live demonstration of its new generation NeoSapphire high availability models, one of the highlights not to be missed this year. AccelStor NeoSapphire all-flash arrays are highly integrated with virtualization and private cloud platforms, supporting VMware vSphere and OpenStack Cinder. NeoSapphire's "high availability" series features symmetric active-active, clustered shared-nothing architecture (SNA), providing full redundancy and 99.9999% reliability, enabling enterprises to achieve non-disruptive operations effortlessly. In addition, the patented FlexiRemap software technology accelerates data processing and unleashes the true performance of big data workloads with outstanding performance, over 1 million IOPS for 4KB random access.
Matrix is the fastest, most scalable parallel file system for AI and technical compute workloads. TuSimple's goal is to develop a Level 4 autonomous truck driving solution, for the dock-to-dock delivery of commercial goods. The company, which was founded by entrepreneurs from the California Institute of Technology, has facilities in San Diego, Calif. and Tucson, Ariz., and to date its technology has been road-tested for some 15,000 miles. TuSimple chose WekaIO Matrix after comparisons with other scale-out file systems demonstrated that only Matrix has the ability to meet its most demanding performance requirements. "WekaIO Matrix was the clear choice for our on-premises DNN training in the U.S. It was understood from the outset that a standard network-attached storage (NAS) solution would not be able to scale to the extent we would need it to, and apart from Matrix being the most performant of all the parallel file systems we evaluated, we really liked the fact that it is hardware-independent, allowing us better control over our infrastructure costs.
