The OnePlus 6 has already sold out! The top-tier model is showing as out of stock in the key US and UK markets. For some manufacturers an out-of-stock this close to the launch would highlight mismanagement of the production line. In the case of OnePlus, which typically works on much lower volumes, the short-term lack of units will provide key information to maximise sales over the life cycle of the new handset. The reason why going out of stock is a good thing is in part down to OnePlus' management of its supply chain.
HTC may have already released the smartphone called the HTC U Ultra, but it will soon be announcing its flagship model next month. The Taiwanese phone maker has revealed that it will be announcing its flagship smartphone next month on May 16. HTC revealed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone via Twitter. The company's tweet also included a five-second teaser briefly showing of the handset. It was also accompanied by the following tagline: "Squeeze for the Brilliant U." The upcoming handset is believed to be called the HTC U, according to GSM Arena.
Earlier this year, the OnePlus 6 was described as a "big step closer to the perfect smartphone," even if it was missing wireless charging and a microSD slot. Perhaps the company can make up for those missing features by offering the handset in an even nicer finish than the one before. Say hello to the OnePlus 6 Red. As the name implies, the OnePlus 6 Red is the same handset that came out earlier this year, albeit with a new finish. CEO Pete Lau announced the device on the OnePlus forum, saying that the style exudes "enthusiasm and personality" as well as "inner confidence and courage."
A new report claims that HTC will be introducing a sequel to last year's HTC One X9 in the first quarter of 2017. The handset will be called the HTC One X10 and will only be slightly different form its predecessor, but it will have a far better camera performance. Details on the upcoming HTC One X10 comes from notorious leaker and VentureBeat reporter Evan Blass (@evleaks on Twitter). Blass claims that he got the info on the handset from "a person who has used one." His source claims that the One X10 will only have slight differences from the One X9.
We haven't actually seen the OnePlus 6T yet, but apparently we already have a release date for the high-tech version of the OnePlus 6 handset. The device will be unveiled on October 30th and will be available starting November 6th, according to The Verge. Despite the fact that the device's specs haven't officially been released to the public, we have some idea of what to expect. The display will have a fingerprint sensor, and there will be a notch, though it will be smaller than some of its rivals'. There will likely be no 3.5 mm headphone jack.
