Exposing learners to large quantities of meaningful and fascinating materials and activities will have a significant impact on the learners' knowledge of L2.A lot of researchers have shown great interest in extensive reading in the last years. Content literacy is the ability to read, understand, and learn from texts from a particular matter. There are three types of content literacy: general literacy abilities, content-specific literacy abilities, and previous knowledge of content.

Literacy is described as "the capacity to read and write or expertise related to a given topic. Building on this definition, quantitative literacy was described as the capacity throughout everyday life to interpret and communicate numbers and mathematical data. Quantitative literacy can be regarded an important component of culture, particularly with regard to many citizens ' responsibilities, such as "allocating government funds, understanding media data, serving on juries, participating in community organisations, and electing government leaders. Students should undertake courses that promote quantitative literacy, or the capacity and willingness to use, interpret, and criticize figures as they occur in daily life. In addition, traditional mathematics should be included in the same environment and mandatory up to grade eight, but then needed only to the extent that it is essential to fulfill one's objectives.
