The aim of this paper is to provide a deeper understanding of Shikake through the lens of marketing. "The aim of marketing is to make selling superfluous" is a famous quote by Peter Drucker. Its key message is that marketing is not an effort to control or force consumers to purchase products or services, but an activity to create a situation where consumers engage in consumer behavior spontaneously. The core essence of Shikakeology is a spontaneous behavior change, and it is fair to assume that marketing and Shikakeology share a fundamental philosophy. This paper defines the key concepts in the intersection of marketing and Shikakeology and attempts to classify Shikakes in the field of marketing in accordance with participants' motivation and consciousness. Different types of consumer participation are described in case studies. Finally, attempts are made to reveal the key to success of a Shikake in the field of marketing and discuss future research opportunities.
Ruling Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker Ichita Yamamoto is considering running in the Gunma Prefecture gubernatorial election slated to be held next summer, sources said Monday. Yamamoto's six-year term as a member of the House of Councillors representing Gunma will expire in the summer of next year. At a meeting with supporters Sunday night in Takasaki in the prefecture, Yamamoto said that he currently sees his likelihood of running for the governorship or seeking another term in the Upper House as 50% either way. Yamamoto, head of the LDP's Upper House Policy Research Council Board, said that although he is an official LDP candidate for the next Upper House election, an increasing number of his supporters and other are calling on him to come back to Gunma. He suggested that he will make a decision by the end of December after considering the opinions of Gunma residents.
The fossil beetle, Propiestus archaicus, preserved in amber. A 99-million-year-old beetle has been found, trapped in amber, stunning scientists. The new beetle, known as Propiestus archaicus, was found in Hukawng Valley in the northern part Myanmar, near China's southern border. P. archaicus is a distant relative of today's rove beetles, found in South America and the southern part of Arizona, revealing that the continents shifted rapidly millions of years ago to what we now see today. "This is a very rare find," Shuhei Yamamoto said, a Field Museum researcher and lead author of a paper in the Journal of Systematic Palaeontology, said in a statement.
Just as Japan braces itself for a hike in the sales tax to 10 percent on Oct. 1, one of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's would-be rivals is calling for it to be abolished altogether. Taro Yamamoto, a former actor who is now the leader of an upstart party that won two seats in July's Upper House election, says the increase from the current 8 percent will put a chill on consumption, despite the government's efforts to alleviate such concerns. "It's not normal to raise it to 10 percent," Yamamoto, the leader of Reiwa Shinsengumi, said in an interview in Tokyo. "I can only call it crazy." The psychological effect of hiking the tax to an easily calculated round number will be to prompt consumers to "put the brakes on," he said.
A brave little girl faced an armed robber who broke into the house of Naojiro Naito, a grocer of Nippori, a suburb of Tokyo, at midnight on the 29th of last month. The noise awoke the master of the house and the unwelcome visitor threatened him with a short sword and the usual phrase, "Your money or your life!" Fourteen-year-old Otsuru, the eldest daughter of the house, who was sleeping in the next room, ran up to the robber and appealed to him to save her father and instead take her own life. She entreated so pitifully that the rogue was moved by the affectionate and courageous little girl, and left the house without further molesting the family, carrying away ¥30 that Naito gave him. The robber was arrested on Monday morning while viewing the cherry flowers at Arakawa. Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, commander-in-chief of the Combined Fleet, died a gallant death in a plane during an engagement with the enemy while personally directing the general strategic operations on the front line in April, it was revealed in an announcement issued by the Imperial headquarters on Friday.
