The upcoming meeting of the Joint Technical Committee of International Standards Organisation (ISO) and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in Japan will provide the forum for the further development of international AI Standards. SC42 consists of 28 Participating countries and 13 Observing countries from all over the world. Participating countries include Ireland representatives nominated by National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) and Australia (SA), Austria (ASI), Belgium (NBN), Benin (ANM), Canada (SCC), China (SAC), Denmark (DS), Finland (SFS), France (AFNOR), Italy (UNI), Japan (JISC), Korea, Republic of (KATS), Luxembourg (ILNAS), Malta (MCCAA), Netherlands (NEN), Norway (SN), Russian Federation (GOST R), Singapore, (SSC), Spain (UNE), Sweden (SIS), Switzerland (SNV), Uganda (UNBS), United Kingdom (BSI) and United States (ANSI). Standardisation has been a driving factor in the creation of the European Unions Digital Single Market. European standards help to eliminate technical barriers to trade contributed to the implementation of European legislation and the development of sustainable industrial policy.


Facebook Messenger adds support for 360 photos, HD video

Facebook on Tuesday announced it's adding support for 360 degree phtotos, panoramic photos and HD video to Messenger. To send a 360 degree photo, a user can capture the photo using a 360 degree app or camera and share it on the messaging platform like a normal photo. The recipients can view the entire image by tapping and dragging it, moving their phone, or viewing it on Messenger.com Users can share HD quality, 720p videos that are saved on their phone, as well as videos on their Facebook newsfeed or in another message thread. HD quality videos are available in Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, UK and the US on iOS and Android.

iPhone X to launch in 13 countries including Korea on November 24

The iPhone X will be launching in South Korea on November 24, Apple has announced, much earlier than anticipated. The 10th anniversary edition iPhone will also launch on that date in Albania, Bosnia, Cambodia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Malaysia, Montenegro, Serbia, South Africa, Thailand, and Turkey. It will also be launched in the city of Macau on the same date. Israel will get it a day earlier on November 23. A December rollout for the 10th anniversary edition had previously been expected.
