OpenAI announced its first product, OpenAI Gym, on Wednesday. OpenAI Gym is a toolkit for developing and comparing reinforcement learning algorithms in different environments, according to the company. OpenAI is the nonprofit AI research company founded late last year with the goal of advancing digital intelligence without concerns about profit. The project touts investors like Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Infosys and AWS. OpenAI Gym is designed to be a proving ground for algorithms for reinforcement learning, which involves training machines to run trial and error tests.
Today OpenAI, a non-profit artificial intelligence research company, launched OpenAI Gym, a toolkit for developing and comparing reinforcement learning algorithms. While reinforcement learning is focused on making good decisions, supervised and unsupervised learning are mostly focused on making predictions. It includes a curated and diverse collection of environments, which currently include simulated robotics tasks, board games, algorithmic tasks such as addition of multi-digit numbers, and more. OpenAI Gym goes beyond these previous collections by including a greater diversity of tasks and a greater range of difficulty (including simulated robot tasks that have only become plausibly solvable in the last year or so).
Learn to apply Reinforcement Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms using Python, Pytorch and OpenAI Gym Artificial Intelligence is dynamically edging its way into our lives. It is already broadly available and we use it - sometimes even not knowing it - on daily basis. Soon it will be our permanent, every day companion. And where can we place Reinforcement Learning in AI world? Definitely this is one of the most promising and fastest growing technologies that can eventually lead us to General Artificial Intelligence!
