Paul Shetler has resigned from the position of chief digital officer for the Australian Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) after just over a month in the position. Shetler was the inaugural CEO of the Digital Transformation Office (DTO), from which the DTA spun off in November, before being appointed as the DTA's chief digital officer. Interim chief executive officer Nerida O'Loughlin said Shetler had played an instrumental role in establishing the government's agenda to transform its digital presence and service delivery. The New South Wales government has announced the appointment of a chief information and digital officer, calling it a modern spin on the traditional CIO role. Making the announcement at the CeBIT Australia 2016 conference in Sydney on Tuesday, NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet said the upcoming appointment is reflective of the rapidly evolving nature of government. "Over the past five years, we've seen the industry and the role of the CIO change significantly from someone who just used to hit the lights on," Perrotett said. "This role has now evolved to be one of the most significant champions of digital initiatives in many organisations. Perrottet called the impending appointment a resurrection with a slight twist, with the addition of the word digital in line with the accelerating use of digital services.
"Its various learning mechanisms are designed around interactivity so every time a user works with Quill, it gets smarter by learning about specific domains and how to describe them," explains Katy De Leon in an interview with Marketing AI Institute. "For example, Quill can capture and integrate the nuance of how a particular company talks about its business. This type of learning results in new ways for Quill to describe and characterize the area of the business it is being asked to write about (e.g., sales performance, customer communications, employee feedback, etc.)
