Zendesk Invests in Tymeshift to Improve WFM Solutions

Leading Customer Support Ticket System and Sales CRM platform Zendesk has invested in Tymeshift. Tymeshift is an Omnichannel Workforce Management (WFM) tool that is made exclusively for Zendesk. Tymeshift will use the new funding to push for growth in new markets. At the time of this investment, David Birchmier, CEO- Tymeshift, shared his vision for the company's future. David said, "We're proud of the organic growth we've achieved and are excited to leverage Zendesk's investment to accelerate our product innovation pace and continue to grow our teams in Fairfield, Iowa, Lisbon, Portugal, and Novi Sad, Serbia. Walgreens Boots Alliance Advances Transformation of Its Global Information Technology

Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. and Tata Consultancy Services, a leading global information technology (IT) services, consulting and business solutions organization, announced that the companies have expanded their strategic partnership to advance WBA's transformation of its global IT function by launching a new operating model for IT Run and Operational services, enabling WBA to accelerate its digitalization program to advance innovation for customers, drive organizational efficiencies across the company and further reduce its cost base. "WBA is building a scalable, sustainable and globally unified IT operating model that is focused on digital transformation, automation of service delivery and innovation" The expansion of the WBA and TCS strategic partnership is based on WBA's review of its IT operating model and vendor landscape. As a result, the WBA global IT team will focus on leading and supporting strategic technology projects that create customer value through the development of new digital products and services on its business platforms. Following a period of transition, TCS will provide Run and Operational managed services, including application maintenance and support, infrastructure and security operations. The TCS approach will blend artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced software engineering to enhance operational resilience and boost productivity.


GlobalData Reveals Top 10 Artificial Intelligence Influencers in Q4 2019

An analysis of GlobalData Artificial Intelligence (AI) Influencer Platform, which tracks over 200 leading global AI experts and their discussions pertaining to the emerging trends, pain areas, new fields of innovation and other popular areas on Twitter, revealed Ronald van Loon, Director at Adversitement, as the top influencer in the fourth quarter (Q4) 2019. Ganapathi Pulipaka, chief data scientist at Accenture, was ranked second among AI experts with an influencer score of 84. Kirk Borne, Principal data scientist at Booz Allen Hamilton, was ranked third with an influencer score of 81. Among the companies, Microsoft emerged as the leading company among the discussions of artificial intelligence experts, followed by Google and Amazon. The conversations on Microsoft were led by Microsoft HoloLens, an immersive mixed reality experience, developed by the reliability, security and scalability of cloud and AI services from Microsoft.
