I don't know how many times I need to tell you all: the only cop you can ever fully trust is Detective Olivia Benson. A photo of the cop with two of his fellow attractive cop buddies went around a lot during Hurricane Irma, so much that the department had to request the people stop calling 911 and requesting that the cops respond to their "incident." Now Hammill is under investigation for a series of unapologetically anti-Semitic Facebook posts. "So I find it funny that people will talk about how our government needs to do something about our economy and in reality its YOU who needs to stop taking advantage of our system and get a life and so something with your life. Gotta love reality when it hits you in the face.

Police officers in Brookhaven, Ga., shared photos of a tragic scene on Wednesday morning: a truck carrying Krispy Kreme doughnuts accidentally spilled some of its contents onto the road. A Florida police officer whose photo went viral while working after Hurricane Irma has resigned amid an internal investigation into anti-Semitic comments he made on social media and allegedly having sex while on the job. Michael Hamill, a former Gainesville Police officer, resigned from the force on Dec. 6, when he was supposed to appear for an internal affairs interview, the Gainesville Sun reported. Ben Tobias, a spokesperson for the police department, said investigators were looking into anti-Semitic statements Hamill made on his personal Facebook page, as well as allegations that he had consensual sex while on duty. Tobias said both allegations could have resulted in termination.

An officer with the Gainesville Police Department (GPD), Florida, accused of making anti-Semitic Facebook posts and having a physical relationship with a woman while on duty, resigned from his post on Dec. 6. Michael Hamill was under suspension since September. The decision came just when the Internal Affairs department was to interview him regarding the allegations. Born as Michael Gordon Hamill, the officer joined the GPD in 2016. He got married in March.

Gainesville police say in a statement that several people have brought information to the department's attention regarding a complaint against Officer Michael Hamill, the bearded officer at the center of the group selfie. The department hasn't disclosed the nature of the complaint, but The Gainesville Sun reports screen shots sent to the newspaper show anti-Semitic posts on Hamill's personal Facebook page. The Sun reports the posts were made in 2011 and 2013.
