The sisters have made the jump from the app's small screen to Hulu, headlining their own reality show about … well, that jump, and the other attempts at off-platform fame they're chasing after becoming TikTok's biggest names. But what the show ends up being is a look at girlboss-ery on overdrive, as these girls try to juggle everything-- even though they may never be able to do so, nor handle the costs. The D'Amelio Show (all eight episodes of which dropped on September 3) follows the two sisters along with their parents, Marc and Heidi, living in Los Angeles and navigating influencer life. Charli D'Amelio, who turns 17 in the final episode of the season, holds the title of the most-followed creator on TikTok with 124 million followers, after shooting to fame in 2019 with her viral dance performance videos.
On Wednesday, 16-year-old TikTok star Charli D'Amelio ventured through a Dunkin' drive-thru to grab herself a drink that the doughnut-and-coffee chain has made in her honor. "The Charli" joined Dunkin's menu nationwide on Wednesday and is reportedly based on D'Amelio's go-to coffee order – a cold brew with whole milk and three pumps of caramel swirl. The partnership, which may come as a surprise to some, came into fruition because of D'Amelio's "self-professed love for Dunkin'," the chain's press release states. D'Amelio hinted at the drink's launch to her 27.8 million followers on Tuesday with a post showing her holding a cup of Dunkin' coffee. She captioned the photo, "rumors are swirling… teehee 9.2.20."
Charli D'Amelio's meteoric rise on TikTok just hit a milestone that no one else has so far: 100 million followers. It's a huge number for the platform, where no other user even comes close to D'Amelio's follow count. The second most followed account on TikTok as of Nov. 22, 2020 is Addison Rae, who currently stands at 69.6 million. Zach King is at #3 with 52.8 million, and everyone after that clocks in below the 50 million mark. It's also, hilariously, more than double the number of followers keeping up with TikTok's own official account.

Her first three videos all feature the song "Be Happy" by Dixie, which was a viral TikTok sound. Triller, a video sharing platform similar to TikTok, has been around since 2015. Triller's App Store downloads skyrocketed after India banned TikTok on Jun. 29 following ongoing border disputes with China. The Trump administration has expressed concern over TikTok's security, since the app is owned and operated by the Chinese company ByteDance.
