The graph represents a network of 1,554 Twitter users whose tweets in the requested range contained "#cloudcomputing", or who were replied to or mentioned in those tweets. The network was obtained from the NodeXL Graph Server on Monday, 13 July 2020 at 10:38 UTC. The requested start date was Monday, 13 July 2020 at 00:01 UTC and the maximum number of days (going backward) was 14. The maximum number of tweets collected was 5,000. The tweets in the network were tweeted over the 1-day, 22-hour, 34-minute period from Saturday, 11 July 2020 at 01:18 UTC to Sunday, 12 July 2020 at 23:53 UTC.

ASIC Clouds

Communications of the ACM

Specialized replicated compute accelerators (RCA) are multiplied up by having multiple copies per ASICs, multiple ASICs per server, multiple servers per rack, and multiple racks per datacenter. Server controller can be an FPGA, microcontroller, or a Xeon processor. Power delivery and cooling system are customized based on ASIC needs. If required, there would be DRAMs on the PCB as well. Each ASIC interconnects its RCAs using a customized on-chip network.

Blue Prism adds bring your own license to Oracle Cloud

ZDNet

The cloud computing race in 2020 will have a definite multi-cloud spin. Here's a look at how the cloud leaders stack up, the hybrid market, and the SaaS players that run your company as well as their latest strategic moves. Blue Prism, a key robotics process automation player, will provide a bring your own license offering on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The company was already in Oracle's partner network, but the addition to the Oracle Cloud Marketplace will make it easier to deploy Blue Prism and integrate it with Oracle software. According to Blue Prism, the bring your own license listing will be pre-installed on any image for deployment on Oracle's cloud.

A Survey on Edge Intelligence

arXiv.org Artificial Intelligence

Edge intelligence refers to a set of connected systems and devices for data collection, caching, processing, and analysis in locations close to where data is captured based on artificial intelligence. The aim of edge intelligence is to enhance the quality and speed of data processing and protect the privacy and security of the data. Although recently emerged, spanning the period from 2011 to now, this field of research has shown explosive growth over the past five years. In this paper, we present a thorough and comprehensive survey on the literature surrounding edge intelligence. We first identify four fundamental components of edge intelligence, namely edge caching, edge training, edge inference, and edge offloading, based on theoretical and practical results pertaining to proposed and deployed systems. We then aim for a systematic classification of the state of the solutions by examining research results and observations for each of the four components and present a taxonomy that includes practical problems, adopted techniques, and application goals. For each category, we elaborate, compare and analyse the literature from the perspectives of adopted techniques, objectives, performance, advantages and drawbacks, etc. This survey article provides a comprehensive introduction to edge intelligence and its application areas. In addition, we summarise the development of the emerging research field and the current state-of-the-art and discuss the important open issues and possible theoretical and technical solutions.

Today's technology trends that will still matter a decade from now ZDNet

#artificialintelligence

Here's how you can still get a free Windows 10 upgrade You can still use Microsoft's free upgrade tools to install Windows 10 on an old PC running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1. No product key is required, and the digital license says you're activated and ready to go. Like previous years, 2018 featured a bevy of buzzword-laden technologies, but we at ZDNet are fatigued by the never-ending stream of acronyms. With that fatigue in mind, we put together a simple test for the year in technology. What technologies talked about today will actually matter in a decade?

Build and Integrate Your Chatbot with SAP Marketing Cloud

#artificialintelligence

For this End-to-End scenario we need to consider the multiple solutions that are integrated and configured to perform the actions needed to validate this scenario. In our example, all systems are hosted in the cloud and communication between systems is enables using Web Services, APIs, and secure HTTP Endpoints. End user registering on the HTML5 Applicattion and using the chat. SAP Sales Cloud is one of our data sources in this scenario. Contact and sales related data are replicated to SAP Marketing Cloud to build a contact base. This integration is not described in this blog post but the replicated contact records can be used for retrieving offer recommendations and coupon codes from SAP Marketing CLoud from SAP Conversational AI.
