There will be emergency drills at Los Angeles International Airport and the Rose Bowl on Wednesday. About 150 volunteers, some in makeup that will resemble injuries, will participate in a simulated airline accident at LAX starting at 10:15 a.m. About 500 emergency response personnel from 20 departments, including Los Angeles police and fire personnel and the American Red Cross, will respond. The drill is held every three years to test the airport's emergency response system. It will end around noon and will not affect any flights.
