iPhone Xr: Apple's new, cheaper and colourful handset opens for pre-orders

The Independent - Tech

Apple's iPhone Xr – the cheaper version of its new handsets – is now on sale. It can be pre-ordered from Apple or a huge range of carriers from today, ahead of its release date on 26 October. The phone was revealed alongside the more premium iPhone Xs at an Apple event last month, when it announced that the new phone would not launch for weeks. That extra time appears to have allowed Apple to make plenty of them, with no reports of supply problems.
